Symposium: Magmatism and Petroleum Systems
“The challenge of understanding its impact on hydrocarbon basin”
The last years of research work have brought to light the importance of magmatic processes in the modification of the elements and processes on petroleum systems, with both positive and negative effects. Due to its complexity, these effects need to be better understood, therefore, it is extremely important that we have - through this Symposium- the opportunity to create a space for debate to understand these processes.
Along with the technological and scientific advances, the academic - scientific community further integrates with the oil and gas industry, helping a better understanding of the topics in question.
The purpose of this symposium is to hierarchically organize the influence of magmatic processes in the modification of petroleum systems in order to extend the exploration boundaries to igneous environments, reduce the exploration risks and increase the efficiency of these types of reservoirs.
