Fuel specifications:
How do refining companies get ready to address changes in the fuel quality specifications as a result of new engine technologies or changes in the current legislation.
Coordinator: Juan Vrcic (YPF S.A.)
Processes safety:
Refining companies are very mature in terms of Personnel Safety management systems, with indicators defined worldwide (LTI, TRIR, etc.). Highly sophisticated management tools and the need to implement shared indicators appear to face the challenge of avoiding Process Safety events. It is imperative to establish metrics in order to measure the performance of Safety Processes of the companies in the region, with solid grounds, using clear and auditable criteria as per the applicable standards and legislation. This will allow benchmarking and the exchange of success stories.
Safety of large projects:
After a long period of restricted activity in the construction sector, the new ongoing projects require the incorporation to the market of personnel with limited previous experience. Every sector involved needs to pay special attention to the prevention of events that may affect people and facilities. The round table allows different actors to discuss the measures to achieve that.
